Luke looked back at her and smiled. "Hello," he said in his South African accent. "You sound foreign," she said in her Essex accent. "I'm South African," Luke said. "Sweet," she said . Her lips were full and her skin alabaster. She had turquoise eyes and slanting eyebrows with little makeup other than red lipstick and some blush. She was a little taller than he was. Her blonde hair was short. The teller helped her and he went to the next one . She waited for him and then asked him if he wanted to have some coffee. At the coffee shop, the atmosphere was cozy, with a hint of jazz music playing in the background. She was feeling especially mischievous that day and couldn't resist the opportunity to tease him a little. "So, what do you do for fun?" She asked, giving him a playful wink. He smirked, knowing she was trying to provoke him. "I read quantum physics textbooks for fun," he replied sarcastically. She laughed, "Wow, that sounds like a blast! You're such a wild child." He couldn't help but chuckle at her response, "Yeah, I'm a real party animal." Their conversation continued like this, full of witty banter and playful teasing. She was clearly flirting with him, and he was enjoying every minute of it. As they left the coffee shop, she grabbed his hand, and they began to walk. They wandered through the city streets, talking and laughing. Suddenly, she stopped, looked up at him, and leaned in for a kiss. He was taken aback at first, but then he melted into the moment, returning her kiss with passion. When they finally pulled away, she looked at him with a mischievous glint in her eye. "So, Mr. Quantum Physicist, did you like that?" she asked with a sly smile. He smiled back at her, feeling a little dizzy from the kiss. "I think you know the answer to that," he replied, feeling grateful for her feisty and mischievous nature. He kissed her again and felt her hot breath . She smelled wonderful. They kissed for a long time and the she said that she had to go and they exchanged numbers . He texted her many times but it seemed that is was the wrong number . She said that she was often away as she was a flight attendant. Luke moped for months and began to lose weight. He used to walk past the coffee shop and would not even not look at it. One day he heard a message come through. Hi Luke . I am sorry for not texting you . I need to tell you something. I will meet you at the coffee shop tomorrow She did not out a time and he messaged her for the time. She did not reply. He took a day off and waited for her at the coffee shop. It was late afternoon and the coffee shop was about to close. He got up and began to walk . Her eyes was so soft and gentle . He could feel the warmth of her skin and smile. He felt so good . But it had been a year since he last saw her and he was distraught. He looked at the messages and there was none. He blocked her number then deleted it. He felt his heart sink and tears began to flow down his cheeks."Hi," she said.
Time went on and life took over. He got another job and did not go past the coffee shop. One day he happened to be in the area and stopped near the coffee shop. He could smell the coffee and it reminded him of that day they met .
He crossed the street and there she was . She was waiting on a table . She saw him and smiled broadly . He could not believe his eyes . The car hit him and he flew over it . She screamed . As he lay there he smiled and then closed his eyes .
"Hi," she said.
